This is a great plugin and have huge potentials! Very neatly written.
We have a physical and online groceries store in a community. Customers will buy our products online and they will also come to our physical store and purchase products.
It will be interesting if customers can use the same Woo Wallet system to pay in both store spaces. At the moment I’m using a non-WooCommerce POS (Point of sales) system but I will eventually migrate to a WooCommerce based POS system to elimate order/ inventory sync, as well as product information and sales data.
A use case could be that an customer will have an account on my online store, and when the customer come to the physical store and shop, customer can settle the payment with Woo Wallet. I think we cannot do what with what Woo Wallet is capable.
I realise there’s an REST API (I haven’t looked into it in full details) but it looks to me it’s possible to create a payment method in a POS plugin in WooCommerce, and subsequently generate a QR code for customer to scan and pay.
That could be a very attractive use case, please point me to the right direction of such development.Subrata MalKeymasterMarch 8, 2019 at 8:00 pmPost count: 162
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you are right using our API you can create a payment method for POS system. Please do not hesitate to ask any query regarding our REST API.babeytonnaParticipantJuly 5, 2021 at 2:31 pmPost count: 1
There’s a lot of potential for the wallet plugin Subrata. I understand coding is not a piece of cake but making it easy to integrate cross woocommerce sites through an API would be game changing. People will use to kill PayPal and the rest with their high fees.
You guys could even make it an addon like coupons, withdrawal etc.
